A lot of chiropractors practice differently and have different way of scheduling new patients and existing patients. To help you better understand our model and how we schedule patients, let’s take this time to do over each type of appointment we have at McBrearty and answer how do chiropractors accept walk-ins and appointments at McBrearty.

In order to understand our appointment times first let’s dive into what, we have to offer during a visit with McBrearty Soft Tissue and Sport Chiropractic. If you come in and receive the full treatment, which is highly recommended for a better and faster recovery, you will have a visit with the doctor first. During your time in the treatment room with the doctor, they will use the active release technique to help better access your main area of pain. This technique helps them to see if the area that you are experiencing the pain is actually the main source of your discomfort. After your visit with the doctor, you will then go back to our rehabilitation center where our rehab specialists will show you stretches you can do at home or at the office to help better strengthen and condition your muscles to move properly and with a full range of motion. The final step to your visit is getting stim and ice or heat. This will help with inflammation and help reduce pain.

With a basic understanding of how each appointment will flow, we can go over appointment times and we also hope to get everyone to understand, do chiropractors accept walk-ins, and can be seen the same day? Our appointment times range from 15 minutes to 45 minutes of treatment from the doctor. A 15-minute appointment is the easiest to get scheduled for walk-ins. We recommend calling to see if we have an opening on the day you wish to get in as our schedules at this office booked out two weeks full. If you are experiencing severe pain we will try everything in order to get you seen that day and get you some relief. If you are a new patient or an existing patient that has not been seen in the last three months, you will need a 30 to 45-minute appointment and for walk-ins, we will have to look at getting you seen another day.

With the times stated above, you will notice the 15 to 45 minutes is only the time spent in the treatment room with the doctors. You also need to add time for our rehabilitation center, stim, and heat/ice. Time in the rehabilitation center can go from 22 to 45 minutes in itself. This all depends on the area of focus with your pain and how much range of motion you have. Stim and heat/ice will take 12 to 15 minutes. New patients will tell them to plan on being here for up to 2 hours if you are an existing patient it will be around 45 minutes from start to finish.

I really hope this helps in understanding appointments at McBrearty and when do chiropractors accept walk-ins. If you are interested and would like to book an appointment please call at 330- 491-0381 or go online at www.yourartdoc.com.
