School Counselor Appreciation Month

We would like to thank all of the School Counselors for your compassion and dedication to create a positive environment for all students.
Your impact is immeasurable, and we would like to show our appreciation during the month of February by offering $15 off an hour massage!

A growing base of evidence supports incorporating massage therapy in your healthcare regimen. Massage therapy reduces pain, anxiety, and tension. It can also enhance alertness, increase blood flow throughout the body, and promote relaxation.
Our Massage Therapist offers the following types of Massage Therapy:

Relaxation Massage:

Massage is one of the earliest known therapeutic practices. General relaxation massage relaxes the nervous system, promotes healthy skin and can improve skin tone. By gently increasing the circulation of blood flow we can promote increased metabolism. Insomnia and depression can lessen after even a 60 minute massage. Gentle manipulation of the soft tissues push blood and lymph through the body to help ‘detox’ the body. As with any massage, it is important to drink plenty of water after a massage session.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Unlike classic relaxation massage, deep tissue massage usually focuses on a specific problem such as chronic pain, limited mobility, recovery from injury, repetitive strain injuries, arthritis pain, fibromyalgia, and muscle spasms.

Prenatal Massages:

Pregnancy often brings life transitions and a new set of challenges. During this time, women experience anatomical, physiological and psychological changes. There is an expansive body of research that supports massage therapy’s many advantages during the prenatal,

labor, and postpartum periods. Massage alleviates back and leg pain, reduces labor pains during childbirth, lessens postoperative pain, reduces stress and lifts depression; also eases insomnia.

Oncology massage:

Oncology massage helps improve quality of life. It can improve sleep,

relaxation, and immune function as well as relieve anxiety, pain, fatigue and nausea. With special training, our Massage Therapists meet people where they are in their journey, and apply individualized treatment for comfort, nurture, and support. We will modify your oncology massage with consideration to all aspects of the disease and cancer treatment side effects. Any cancer patient who would like to schedule massage therapy needs to get permission from his/her doctor.
